Armando Milani is an internationally acclaimed Italian graphic designer who in 1976, moved to New York City to work with the famed Massimo Vignelli. At Vignelli Associates, he created numerous corporate graphics for prestigious clients including the United Nations. It wasn’t until the beginning of the 21st century where Milani changed focus and began to dedicate himself to the illustration of posters aimed to direct the attention of the public on social themes with an international impact. In 2003 he created “Translating War into Peace” for the United Nations which saw worldwide distribution and thus began Milani’s dedication to humanitarian design.
