Mirko Ilić is a Bosnian born illustrator based in New York City and the author of several highly-regarded design books. He is among a handful of graphic designers whose work is in the collections of world-renowned museums including the SFMoMa and the Smithsonian. In 2013, Mirko collaborated with Daniel Young for an AIGA New York poster exhibition about social impact issues facing the Obama administration. This poster titled “Radioactive Waste” brings to light how decades of nuclear power waste built up over time can have catastrophic unintended consequences—and urging us to find safer ways to generate electricity.
