078: Aerosmith

Aerosmith was born in 1970 when Steven Tyler and Joe Perry combined their bands after playing a gig together and loving each other’s sound. Together Tyler and Perry are known as the “Toxic Twins” due to their seemingly synergistic songwriting talents. This talent would make Aerosmith one of the most popular hard rock bands by the end of the ‘70s. After a drug-fueled break up in the early ’80s, Aerosmith pulled off one of the most remarkable comebacks in music history in the late ’80s after collaborating with Run DMC. The Aerosmith logo is undoubtedly one of the most iconic logos in rock history, having been designed by early band member Ray Tabano in 1974 for their second album “Get Your Wings.”
